BEN HAUKE – Save The Date
A mini-album with elastic rhythm. London's Ben Hauke puts broken beat at the centre with swung drums, keys and flutes on Make Up Break Up Bench and Let's Move On Bro, speeds into filtered house on Watch Me Now, reaches for 90s sax on Forever Me, and drops a short hip-hop interlude on First Snow. Sample-warm, off-centre, alive. The title track adds driving movement and wobbled bass, tying house, garage and breakbeat together.
