KX9000 – The Sofa Lamp
The light you leave on when friends come over. Paris-based KX9000 makes dance music for gathered people: weighted bass and jazz chords on Sauce Pepe, swinging drums with Cosmonection on Locha, an emotive lead line with Tour-Maubourg on April, and a soft balearic glow on Everw*day. Playful, elegant, communal. Kerim Ben Mustapha's alias moves between home listening and club warmth, built around the simple pleasure of movement.
