SofaTalk – The Soul’s Code
Eight tracks, no fixed address. SofaTalk pulls Italy's underground through nu-jazz, house and broken beat: dub-soul and sax on Dub Lush with Veezo, 8-bit play on Paradiddle, lo-fi percussion on Complex Journey, Zopelar on Out of Nowhere. Jazz, Latin and breakbeat colours blurred into something fluid and deeply personal. Around, Drum Circle and Magpie's Rules extend the percussive language, an instinct for hybrid forms that never loses its groove.
