C.ling – Vault With Holes
A debut built like a memory with gaps in it. French duo C.ling, Paul Brunet and Alexandre Maillet, shuttle between Paris and Brussels with classical training and a taste for texture: bright figures on Divx, guitar and slow-shifting pads, a quiet tonal centre on Yhwh, ambient techno on Mutualism, then denser rhythm to close. Form, memory, atmosphere. A wide yet coherent language for contemporary electronic composition, shaped after a shared history in Bordeaux.
