Jesse Bru – Sea To Sky
Thirteen tracks, coast to clouds. West Coast producer Jesse Bru samples his way from shifting chords on Cascadia Sun through electro on Kalamalka, deep house on Deep Cove and Mnajdra, garage on Go Somewhere and hip-hop soul on Movin On, before The Drip falls into jungle. Genre as weather, memory as method. Rooted in sampling and a deep sense of melody, he lets vocal fragments, piano, synths and rhythm form a highly personal language.
